I'm starting to understand what a cat must feel like when locked in an empty room all day.

I haven't seen a certain reclusive writer for a while so I'm coming to the conclusion that he's vanished from the island one way or another. There are a number of books he left behind though, so if they were borrowed from someone I tidied up his chambers so you can get them at any time.

I think there are only three or four vampires left now. It's... difficult for me to come to terms with having so little to do.

I always forget that v-vampires are here....

It's not something people normally try to remember. [Yup, she's amused.]

It most certainly is rather disconcerting having so little to do. Aside from the daily grind of life, there is little else fascinating or motivating enough to warrant extra activity.

I best hold my tongue though, lest this is the calm before the storm.

Well now, this is a welcome 'voice'.

But there is a storm just outside the harbor, and it isn't moving.

Strange, isn't it? I go out on an expedition that manifested into a wondrous, dangerous adventure only to come home and find myself dutifully chronicling it in a tome. I've weathered a storm and tamed it into a drizzle.

Would you perhaps hope for this nearby storm to venture towards us, if for the sake of upsetting this stagnant lifestyle?

That icon makes Bridget want to pinch his cheeks or something...
Is it as exciting on paper as it was in the experience?

It's easier to just fly out to see it though and then come back, less clothing is ruined that way.

Like this one? 8D
Alas, I am not the avid storyteller my brother is, so my writings are more like reports.

Oh if only we all had wings with which to fly! I would adore to soar the skies and I am sure even my dry reports will be injected with a real sense of excitement!

GUH. [grabbyhands]
Didn't you know? The only difference between a report and a tale is the time since it happened, the verbs used, and the percentage of truth held?

Several people here have wings I think. I don't like using them unless I have to though. Or you could make a hang-glider...

XD ♥
Oh! A hang-glider, now there is a grand idea!

Perhaps time spent falling back under the daily grind has dulled my sense of excitement over my expedition. Now I must look into the construction of such a contraption, and then I know for sure my excitement shall be rekindled!

Such a shame. There was a time when this island was fairly teeming with vampires, of some sort or another.
rosereddaughter on September 28th, 2010 05:24 pm (UTC)
That almost sounds like some sort of event, Lady Kasa. Especially if they were of the blood-drinking kind.

Yes, indeed. It was a most interesting time.
